BCYFCA Update 10/5/09
By: Ryan Seeloff

What's up in the BCYFCA?  Let's find out what's going on now that we are well into the season.

North Conference

Rookies

Rockledge leads the pack t 6-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play.  Suntree/Viera is nipping at their heels with a single loss and 2-0 in conference games. Titusville is still in it at 4-2, but Merritt Island and Port St. John have some catching up to do without a single win in their conference.

Mighty Mites

Both Rockledge and Sunree/Viera Gold continue their great run at 6-1 overall and 4-0 within the conference.  They play each other on October 10th in Suntree to see who really is the best.  Merritt Island Gold and Titusville are next in line at 2-2 in the conference.

Pee Wee's

Merritt Island has the edge with a 2-0 conference record and 4-2 overall.  Rockledge and Suntree/Viera are waiting for them to slip up.

Bantams

Rockledge at 3-0 in the Conference and 5-2 overall is running away from the pack as we round out the season.  There is not another team with more than a single conference win.

Juniors

Suntree/Viera and Titusville have the lead in conference games at 2-0 each, but Suntree/Viera has the edge overall with a 3-2 record to counter Titusville's 2-4.  Rockledge is waiting for one of the two division leaders to stumble with only a single loss in conference play and a better record than either team overall at 4-3.  Both Merritt Island and Port St. John are looking for their first wins of the season.

Seniors

Titsuville and Merritt Island lead the Senior Division at 2-0.  Suntree/Viera lurks in the background at 1-1, but they have a 1-4 record overall compared to 4-1 for Titusville and 3-3 for Merritt Island.

South Conference

Rookies

Palm Bay leads the Rookies with a 3-0 conference record, but trails second place West Melbourne's and Melbourne's overall records. West Melbourne and Melbourne both have 2-1 conference records and the winner of this division could come down to the overall record.

Mighty Mites

West Melbourne is leading at 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference.  Sebastian is in second place at 3-1 in the conference and 5-2 overall.  There is a four way tie at 2-2 in the conference with Bayside, Melbourne 1, Palm Bay, and South Beach.  Who is going to step up in these last games?

Pee Wees

West Melbourne is rolling at 3-0 in the conference and an impressive 7-0 overall.  Will either South Beach or Bayside be able to catch up?  Maybe we will see as West Melbourne and Bayside go head to head on October 10th.

Bantams

Melbourne comes into the week undefeated including 3-0 in the conference.  West Melbourne and Palm Bay are 6-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Palm Bay has a chance to knock Melbourne down a peg this weekend when the Bulldogs head south.

Juniors

Palm Bay is 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference.  Bayside, Melbourne, and West Melbourne are all 2-1 in the conference and looking to make the post season.

Seniors

Both Melbourne and Palm Bay are undefeated.  They will meet on October 10th in Palm Bay to most likely decide the conference championship.  Better lock up the little kids for that game.

With only a couple weeks left in the regular season each game could mean playing into the post season or watching from the sidelines.  Watch out for some great football the final two weeks of the season.
